Kimera

The dresses here can be customized in different ways, made to measure, and they're all made of silk.
I really like it with the red sash. This dress was a little tight but it was the best fitting sample.
One of the customizations i liked was to put a chiffon overlay on the skirt. The dresses have a small fishtail train.
The bottom two are photoshopped with a fuller skirt to get a better idea of what I might like.
This is a lot like my original idea of wearing an obi with a dress.

demetrios

We weren't supposed to take pics but we tried to sneak a couple.
It's a beautiful Demetrios dress, reduced to $895 from $1600. Probably still too expensive fore me, but I was falling in love with it.
It surprised me because it isn't a shape I'd normally choose. It was a little tight around the belly, but tailoring, proper underwear would fix that.
here's some other girl in the same dress: http://www.recycledbride.com/listing/wedding-dresses/demetrios-ilissa-900

More views of the Filenes Basement Dress

and just for fun, i photoshopped the bottom of a tulle dress to it.

Thread Design

Today we went to Thread Design
obviously, none of these dresses fit me correctly. I'd have to get a larger size and have it tailored.
I love these dresses because they're real silk, very lightweight and flow-y.
All of them are $480, but this week they're on sale for $384.

This was our favorite. It can come in any color, but the only size that fit me was this dark one.

Marilyn:

Played with it in photoshop, tried to make it match the blush pink of the Breck dress.

Kiki: Similar top to the Marilyn.

These photos look horrible, and the dress was several sizes too small, but it's a very pretty dress and we all liked it's blush pink color.

I bought one!

Alisa and I went to Filene's Basement to look at wedding dresses. I decided to get the top one....If I change my mind later, it's ok, it was on sale for $60.
Below are a couple of other dresses we really liked. I liked the bottom one because the bodice looked like a ballerina dress, but the dress was actually too small and wouldn't zip up.

went back to davids bridal

We went back today and tried on the lace one again. It really does look better in person than in photos. I also tried it on with a regular bra instead of strapless, and I think it helps. Here's another dress I tried. It makes me look like a cake.

Dres :#5 Swiss polka dot dress

Today we went to a store that didn't allow photos. But here's my favorite dress there. It was really cute with the pink bow, although there's about 100 colors to choose from, and the swiss dot fabric was fun. I really loved it.

This one I attempted to photoshop to make her a little closer to my proportions.

first attempt at wedding dresses

Even though I hate strapless, I tried on a few. This one was nice. I even like the flower. Unfortunately I can't add the Kimono sash to it though.

1.Poofy Flower Dress

This one looked better in person...it's champagne colored. I really liked it even though it wasn't as fun as the ball gowns.
2. Champagne Lace Dress

This floofy one is a Vera Wang. Even though I think it's too fluffy, I really love it, esp. with the kimono sash.
3. Poofy Vera Wang Dress

I like the top part of this one a lot, but the bottom was heavy and hot and i don't like scrunched up material.

4. Don't know how to describe this....lacy backed dress?
